Fun with Wine and Food starts tomorrow at the Oakroom

by Robin Garr » Thu Jun 16, 2011 8:08 am

The Oakroom will host its first “Fun with Wine & Food” series tomorrow, June 17 at 6 p.m. The six part series, which runs through November, is designed for food lovers to learn to find harmony with pairing food and wine. Part one will include the basic rules of food and wine pairing and discuss “cardinal rules” and “capital sins” of wining and dining.

As part of the event, the Oakroom will host its first ever etiquette class for kids! The program will be held in the Oakroom and will start promptly at 6 p.m. with a fun, hands-on class about table manners and fine dining. The program will also include a time to practice what we have learned with a delicious dinner of creamy onion bisque with bacon, roasted chicken, and ice cream with some culinary surprises as toppings for dessert!

Part one of the series is priced at $28 a person with complimentary parking. Seating is limited and reservations are required. To make reservations, please contact Melissa Getz at 807-3463 or Melissa.Getz@ihrco.com.
