Ethan's back!

by Gayle DeM » Tue Jun 07, 2011 7:59 am

Exciting news: according to his Facebook page, Ethan Ray is back in town and at Proof.

I don't think my body can stand anymore great chefs in this town!

He wandered into Bank Street Brewhouse, knives in hand last Friday to do some "mercenary" prep-work. It was good catching up with him.

I've also had the pleasure of having Ethan come into Zbar to do some work, I just wish I had an opening for him. Hopefully Proof is a good fit for him. He's talented well beyond his years.

Welcome home, Ethan and Sarah.

Actually, I never felt like you really left. It was always sort of like "Ethan and Sarah are down South for a minute. They'll be back."

I am back.
Truly, I feel like I've came home.

That said, we went on a little adventure...
And in the end, Louisville has always felt like home to us.
I lived here for 8 years, moved away, and we are here to stay this time.

Marsha:
I'm back and crashing with my brothers. Sarah and Auden are staying with her parents in Somerset for the time being until we get a game plan for a suitable housing situation sorted out. She will be back soon enough though.

My thanks to Matt at Bank Street and Ryan at Zbar for welcoming me into their kitchens and giving me a little work until I found something permanent.

Also, all my friends out there who put out the word, asked around and/or networked with me on the employment front... You guys mean the world to me and are one thing i missed working in Atlanta.
It's nice to have a network of friends.

Anyhow.

It's so great to be back.
I never realized how homesick you could be for the familiar and friends and family... until they're too far away to just pop in and say hi.
