Local and sustainable wine tasting tonight at The Wine Rack

The Wine Rack, 2632 Frankfort Ave., will host a local and sustainable wine tasting at 7:30 p.m. today, June 3, for the benefit of Sustainable Agriculture of Louisville.

Guest speaker Mary Berry-Smith will discuss local farming, and her husband Chuck Smith will present three wines from Smith-Berry Winery. John Johnson, owner of The Wine Rack, will present three other local wines.

RSVP to john@wineshoplouisville.com or call 721-9148. Admission is $20 by cash or check payable to Sustainable Agriculture of Louisville at the door.

Proceeds will support the programs of Sustainable Agriculture of Louisville, including:

1.Gardening Camps for Children ( four-one week camps).

2. March to October Aspiring Farmer Training Program. SAL trains approximately 10 aspiring farmers per year and immerses 50+ children in gardening, food preparation and cooking.

3. Helping refugee families gain access to land, and training faith communities and SAL volunteers in community gardening.

Sustainable Agriculture of Louisville (SAL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
