Wow - if I didn't have plans tomorrow night, that looks amazing. $25 for four dishes, three tequilas, and a cordial? Crazy.

My fingers are crossed that this becomes a recurring event.

We went to this last night as sort of a spur of the moment treat. We figured that we ought to get one great last meal in before the Storm of the Century delivered us to our Maker.

My husband loves good tequila, so this pairing was right up his alley. The margarita that came out right away was made with the Dos Lunas Silver, and was made just the way I like it - tart, smooth, and not very sweet. The tuna tartare was mild and paired well. The light sprinkling of capers set it off perfectly.

Next came the Reposado, which we both loved. It didn't even taste like a tequila to me - the notes of honey and vanilla made it almost bourbon-y. The fried green pepper on top of the mashed avocado seemed like it was marinated in something yummy.

Third, the Añejo. Definitely a tequila. It was light and smooth. The crowning glory of the evening was served with it - the famous M1, so famous that I had never had it before. But I will be ordering it every time I go back. Serrano Ham, Chorizo, Goat Cheese, and ali-oli topped with a fried quail egg. Drool away.

Dessert was Torrijas, which is a lot like the loveliest piece of French toast you've ever had, dusted with granulated sugar. It came with a dab of vanilla ice cream. We couldn't decide which was better: the torrijas or the Amaretto that was served. It was Lazzaroni, by the folks that make the Lazzaroni Amaretto cookies. This kind of Amaretto needs to stay far away from any sour mix.

The whole experience was a delight. And, even better, we rode out the Storm of the Century and survived to tell the tale!
