I actually know of a waiter in Louisville who several years ago always added a quarter to all of his credit/debit cards transactions. Let's take an overview look. Let's say the guy waiter waited on 8 tables a night, that is an extra $2 a day, $10 for a 5 day work week or $520 a year. Nickles and dimes add up! And for the record, that guy eventually got caught and fired.

He tried to get the whole meal reimbursed, but refuses to go pick up the 4 cents because not worth his time.

I think what we have here is a sense of entitlement not justified by the facts. ;)
