You are pretty close on that estimate, Bev. Rolled Oysters remind me of a stuffing or a dressing with oysters (instead of turkey!) When the Rolled Oysters are fried, the oysters inside the ball of cracker crumb batter are steamed so that the breading is infused with the taste of fresh oysters. This fried dough is the only part that some of our customers eat: they nibble AROUND the oysters!
When I first read your question, I wondered if you were expecting Pan Fries (individual oysters that are lightly breaded and fried). At any rate, I'm sorry that you were disappointed. I can recommend a local place that serves awesome Pan Fired Oysters: the Hungry Pelican in Fern Creek and also in Clarksville. Be sure to ask for their homemande "Special" Sauce that goes great with them.

Bev, Kathy nor any of her relatives own the other restaurants she mentioned as far as I know. She was just trying to suggest someplace else he might be able to find Oysters that are more to your liking!

You are correct, my comment was in regards to Hungry Pelican.
