Field Trip Lunch

by Mark P » Mon May 02, 2011 11:26 pm

Looking for a place to take 50-8th graders on June 1st and 50-7th graders June 2nd after a day at Churchill Downs for a field trip. Coming from/going back to Jeffersonville, so something along that route would be great. Really need to keep it in the $7-10 range for lunch per kid.
Any ideas?

Mark, I might not recommend it for foodies, but for this purpose, how about the Cardinal Hall of Fame on Crittenden at Central? Handy location, U of L sports theme - it's almost a museum - and the American-style food and Denny's pricing ought to suit your group.

Dear Mark,
we just had Jessica D's group of 1st graders at ParkPlace last week. We can do a choice w/out soft drink for $5 per kid, w/ drinks $6.25 plus tax & gratuity. As we are downtown, I think we are on your route?
If you are interested, please email us at browningsbrewery.com

Have a great day.

I also recommend Park Place, but your group of pre-teens may want something other than a kids meal. Call Liz to ask about options.

Why not just eat at the track? I'm pretty sure they could come up with something in your price range.
More importantly, if you try to go this route, you need to make sure your $7-10 per head is INCLUSIVE (including tax & tip) and not added after.

Wagners might be able to do something for you. Their food is cheap and they would add a little extra racing history to the field trip.

That was my first thought to but I wasn't sure if they were large enough to do a group this big without cramping their regulars.

We took a group both Wednesday and Thursday to Brownings and everything was fantastic! The food was pre-ordered and ready when we arrived. The kids loved it! Many of them had never been to a restaurant of this caliber, so we were excited to give them the opportunity. Thanks again!!

Dear Mark,
Thank you for bringing your group to our restaurant. The children were some of the best behaved groups we have ever had, glad they enjoyed their experience..Look forward to seeing you again soon.
