Another great reason why I work from home!

The commute is great! I get to use the executive bathroom! (sorry if that's tmi!) I very seldom have lunch "at work" but when I do, it's pretty darn good. My "lower level" bosses (my kids and pets) pay me in hugs, kisses, licks and purrs. It's a pretty sweet deal! :D

NPR had a story on this a few days ago. The station across the street from it is significantly less; they explained that that Exxon is primarily a service station (as in repairs, not gas) and so to stop and tend to a customer's fueling needs is an inconvenience, but if someone wants to fill up and say they got their gas at the Watergate Exxon they can pay extra.

Still, it's a good reminder of the trickledown and to consolidate your trips!

That station has always been way higher than any other in the area. It's not typical, and it's not a good indication of price levels in DC or anywhere else.

News stories that report on these sort of isolated price-gouging stations are just unnecessary alarmism, and they usually show that the journalist hasn't done his or her homework.

Which is not to say that gas prices aren't high. Thank goodness for a convenient TARC route between my house and work downtown.

Oh so you're one of the three people in the city for which TARC is useful. :P
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.
