Morton's Steps Up !

by John T » Thu Apr 28, 2011 1:09 am

Well, for most of the regular visitors on this site, you might remember the "valet incident" with my Corvette last november. After 5 months since the accident, with a lawyer involved to collect, everything has finally been settled. A few weeks ago, I sent a letter to the president of Morton's detailing what I went through to collect from the valet's totaling my car. I received a call from the Vice President of Operations of Morton's. They were totally unaware of the length of time it took to settle this claim. Needless to say, they have taken good care of me. Just remember this whole story next time you valet your car !!!

I don't remember this post John...what happened? Also, how did Morton's rectify it?? Just curious. (a full decanter of Louis Tres would work for me in any case.... )

David..last November the valet decided to see how fast my corvette accelerated and lost control on River Rd. The car sustained $34000 worth of damage. I had to deal with the valet's carrier [ Lloyd's of London]. Needless to say, it took a long time to collect. I was not dealing with Morton's at all. They had no idea it was dragging on as long as it did. Let's just say I'll be eating a lot of good steaks for a while!
