Captains Quarters - Live Flood Video

by Steve P » Tue Apr 26, 2011 6:40 pm

You can check out (live) computer cam views of Captains Quarters at:

http://www.cqriverside.com/index.htm

Video feed requires Internet Explorer - Still pictures available via any browser.

It's ugly folks...The water appears to already be about 36-40 inches deep on the entry/saloon level with another 3 to 3.5 foot rise in the river still projected.

All of our hearts should go out to the Masterson's, Alan H. and the wonderful crew at the CQ...I'm thinking that once they get through this, we're going to have to do an offline there to show a little support for the folks who have given so much to this forum and our community.

Sounds like a great idea!

GREAT idea. And maybe we all come prepared to eat well and toss "a little something extra" into the tip bucket.

An off line sounds like a great idea!

I keep reading the subject line as "Live Flood Clams." That could be an appropriate special, right?

That's exactly how I read it... I was wondering if they had clams that washed ashore. Unfortunately based on the pictures, they just might have clams in there. My heart goes out to all the businesses affected by the flooding. We have a lot of it near our business from Silver Creek going over its banks, and there are several businesses that are almost completely submerged right now.

Good grief, those houses in back of the boats are normally 20+ feet abovewater! I'm sure they don't have access via the road anymore. When you see this you realize why sprinkler systems were mandatory when these houses were built, the fire department certainly couldn't get there.

Happy to help set it all up when they are ready! Tom flew over them on his way home today, and told me it was just sad, sad, sad to see...
