The 2nd Annual Bluegrass Pizza Bake-off sponsored by Marsal &Sons and Pizzaovens.com will be held this year September the 13th. Chef Santo Bruno of Marsal & Sons, the coach of the U.S. Pizza Team and Sharon Thompson a food writer for the Lexington Hearld-Leader will be Judges. They are still looking for one more judge. I would love to see Robin do it. I think they need a judge from the Louisville area. There will be two divisions. The traditional and non-traditional. The first place winners in each division will recieve a plaque, $1000.00 check, a free entry into the next years Bluegrass Pizza Bake-off and who ever wins the non-traditional division will recieve round trip airfare and full accommodations for one to join the U.S. pizza team in Italy for the bake off there. The runner up in each division will recieve a $500.00 check. They asked me who I knew in Louisville that would be a good judge for this competition so I dropped your name Robin. Hope you don't mind. The applications will be available soon so any of you pizza guys who are interested shoot me a message and I can get you more details.
