J. Gumbos - Corydon

by Alison Hanover » Thu Apr 14, 2011 11:57 am

I stopped by the newly opened J. Gumbos in Corydon yesterday to pick something up for dinner for me and the hubby. Had the pleasure of meeting Ronnie and the girls. I got drunken chicken and bumblebee stew, both served over rice and was easily enough for the two of us. I served three portions, but it was a bit too spicy for our 10 year old, so he had left over chicken curry! which I made on Monday. (go figure).

My favorite was the drunken chicken, which had lots of chicken and a definite kick to it. Had a flavor I just couldn't put my finger on, but boy it was good. The bumblebee stew was excellent as well, Looking forward to trying more off the menu. It is a welcome addition to the Corydon dining scene.

I need to get my butt down there ASAP. Nice addition to the Corydon scene such as that scene is. The Blue River Cafe (Milltown, IN) should be re-opening in June and I can't wait for that to happen as well.
