Zagat quotes a survey (done with help from the Nat'l Restaurant Ass'n) showing what each job in a restaurant pays per year.

For the hours and the days that most people in the food business have to work, those salaries seem really low.
Its like that for hair/nail people too. They have long hours and they don't really get rich unless they own the joint.

Wow! 48-70k for a Chef? Having done corporate/club/casino etc., I can say that is on the high side for sure. More like 45-48k....unless I'm selling myself short?
