The menu looks great but I tend to agree with you Leah, it looks a little expensive. $12 for a ham and cheese sandwich?

Hate to say it but this may become the norm. Has anyone checked food prices lately? Going up up up.

The sandwiches do come with a side which are priced at $4 seperately. I'm sure they beat potato chips! Besides, quality and size count here--we'll see what the results yield.. In any case, I'll be there to try the croissants! To me, a good, fresh, flaky croissant made in store, is like a NY bagel to others. You just can't beat it! Bon appetit.

Hope and change are working out fine for me. It's simply partisan vitriol to blame inflationary food prices on the President. Fact of the matter is inflation is at historic lows. And guess what everything goes up in price all the time.

Not to mention that it took the nation seven years to pull out of the Hoover Depression, and we'll be lucky if we can get out of the Bush Depression much faster. It's kind of loony to blame the problems on the new guy who's trying to fix his predecessor's screwups.

The problem is he is creating more of its own problems that he is fixing others!

Isn't this place a chain out of Indy?

I think this menu sounds fantastic! It seems to be well thought out and they appear to have an eye for great ingredients, hopefully that will translate into delicious food. Lets not derail this thread with complaints and politics before it has even gotten a chance to catch on!
If I had been working hard on opening a restaurant and building a menu, as I am sure these folks have, I would hope to have a fair shot for buzz on this great website before the drive-by criticism starts rolling in.

I did a little searching and I found two others, one in Richmond IN and one in Zionsville IN. Their menus are similar but not exactly the same. Here's their website: Ghyslain

Well, I remember when I was young our family spent a lot more of the family income on food than we do these days. My wife and I have wondered for years when the super cheap supply of food would get back to more typical levels. A USDA analysis showed a chart of the percentage of disposable income spent on food from 1970 - 2005. In 1970 it was 13.9%. In 2005 it was 9.8%, so we spent almost 42% more on food based on disposable income in 1970 than in 2005. The change back up should only be surprising to the extent that it took so long. Land is no longer being produced but a lot more people are. So the historical anomaly of the late 20th century is correcting according to free market forces.

But I promise when we eat out we will still tip properly!

If their food is as great as their Chocolates, we are all in for some great treats. Everyone we have gifted with their selections has ordered more on their own. Good luck guys.
