Wild Eggs featured in Business First

by Robin Garr » Fri Aug 31, 2007 9:21 am

At this point the article is behind the wall that keeps out all but paid print subscribers, but it looks like Business First has an article in this week's paper interviewing the Napa River Grill folks about their new Wild Eggs "gourmet breakfast" operation set to open at the end of September in the old Tumbleweed/Herman's Deli location on Dutchmans Lane.

Given the level of interest here in Wild Eggs (and in the similar Toast on Market when it opened last year), I expect this article will get a lot of attention. Any Business First print subscribers out there care to summarize it for the rest of us?

Here's a quick summary:

- They will be competing with Lynn's Paradise Cafe and Toast
- They will open late next month after a $300k re-furb
- They did get a $50k loan from Metro Louisville
- They will offer w-fi and have plasma TVs, want business people to visit
- Average check should be about $10 per person
- Hours will be 6:30am to 2:30 pm seven days a week
- Will serve alcohol

Sounds good - I'm thinking Toast with a more extensive menu.

Cheers,

Doug

Booze, and they are only open until 2:30? Hmmmmmmm.........that could be VERY interesting.

I can see it now

"I'm zowry Awferssshhrer, but I juest had br, br, breakfast down the way"

All joking aside, it sounds like a nice alternative without having to venture too far from the east end.
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

Sorry,

BTW, $300,000? $50,000 (non forgivable) loan? They will have to sell a whole lot of "Wild eggs" to recoup that dough!

Ouch.

I wish them all the luck in the world!
