Dinner tonight before the Palace

by Kris Billiter » Fri Mar 25, 2011 1:26 pm

Going to see a concert tonight at 8. Wife can't get home until about 4:45. THought Vincenzo's but they only had a 5:30 and we didn't think that we could make it by then. THought Mojitos but wasn't sure we would have enough time to enjoy it and get downtown. ANy thoughts or ideas? Open to trying something new, so whatever ideas you have, they are much appreciated!

I'll put a third vote in for Theater Square. Outstanding atmosphere and food.

Kris,

Did you end up going to TheatreSquare? I would have recommended the same, but only just saw your post. I've been "wowed" both times we've been and I love the ambiance. ( And Dallas's cooking!)

Don't have time for a super long review but we went and it was fantastic! Shared the goat cheese fondue app, and loved it. I had the veal chop and my wife had a gnocchi dish. Both were very good. Loved the atmosphere. Try to give a more in depth review later. Thanks for suggesting this place everyone!

That would explain the only drawback of the night. Service was at times slow. That's not a comment on our server. He did a great job given the circumstances, but there was a lot of wait time. It wasn't hard to figure out why though. The place was slammed. Anyway, no big deal. The only thing it cost us was time for dessert, and I probably didn't need that anyway! Besides, lingering over a long dinner with my wife with no kiddos around isn't the worst way to spend an evening! 240 though is crazy!
