Wine Meets Bourbon at Historic Locust Grove
L’Alliance Française de Louisville hosts its annual wine tasting fundraiser
April 15th, 2011 at Locust Grove

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 16, 2011) – Since last year was such a success, the annual
fundraiser is making it a tradition: we’re keeping bourbon in the mix !

Presenters from Vanguard International Wines http://www.vanguardwines.com and Hunter Chavanne of Kentucky Bourbon Distillers http://www.kentuckybourbonwhiskey.com/ join us again this year at Historic Locust Grove during the cocktail hour for a sampling of three tastes expertly paired with circulating hors d’oeuvres. Attendees will mingle with presenters and other guests as they sip and nibble.

Earl Gaar’s Brass Quintet provides music during the three course dinner prepared by
Jarfi’s Bistro, accompanied by a glass of wine selected by Tim Stratman of Vanguard Wines.

We are proud to announce that the highlight of the evening will again be the chance
to leave with a phenomenal bottle of wine – or just a really good one! The famous
Wall of Wine features several mystery bottles won by chance – one chance for $20 or
three for $50. Attendees who purchase chances receive the corresponding bottles of
wine and may just leave with the wine steal of the year!

Tickets to the fundraiser are $100 per person ($45 is tax deductible) and all proceeds
benefit the Alliance Française de Louisville. Corporate tables are available for $800.

The Wall of Wine is the highlight of the evening and a great way to introduce your favorite bottles or your organization to wine, bourbon, and beer enthusiasts drawn to our annual fundraiser.

Bottles are decoratively disguised and labeled with numbers and donor information for corresponding chances which are sold throughout the event. At the end of the evening, attendees trade their chances for their prize and will leave with a treat - generously donated by local wine shops, party outlets, and individuals.

Donors are gratefully acknowledged and encouraged to provide information in the form of cards or brochures about their organizations for our event's guests. Please see the attached Wall of Wine Raffle donor form to contribute to our event - and please attend !
