Dragon King's Daughter plans benefit for quake/tsunami

by Robin Garr » Fri Mar 18, 2011 4:00 pm

Just received from Toki Masubuchi at Dragon King's Daughter

I am hosting a fundraiser to help the victims in Japan at Dragon King's Daughter on Tuesday, March 22nd from 3 to midnight. All our sales and tips are going to Global Giving and used for medical care and supplies for the victims.

I experienced Hanshin earthquake in 1995 when I was still in Osaka. I feel so much pain of those people who are affected by this great earthquake. As a citizen of this planet, I feel great responsibility to help and we must act now.

Great fortune I have that all our staff support this event and they are all donating their time and tips to help.

I am asking if you would help us get the word out to the community so that we can raise as much as possible. Those who can not make it on Tuesday, we set up a donation box in the restaurant if you could stop by.

Thank you very much for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,

Toki Masubuchi

p.s. - my family members are all ok.

Thank you everyone who came out and supported the event. We underestimated the people in Louisville. We were too busy to take to go orders and had to close early because we ran out of food.

It was a total success!! We raised $7,700.94.

Thank you so much!
