What should I order at CAfe Lou Lou

by Amy Smalley » Wed Aug 29, 2007 3:15 pm

My Girls Night Out group is dining tonight at Cafe Lou Lou. I've never been before and I am excited to try it. I've heard such good things on this forum. What are your all-time favorites. What are the "must orders"?

Thanks for your input. The gals and I appreciate it!

I particularly like the Mediterranean pizza, which has eggplant and feta cheese and good things like that on it. The blue-cheese polenta appetizer is also great. You really can't miss with anything on the menu ...

Whoa whoa whoa! I love Cafe Lou Lou, and their muffuletta takes me right back to Central Market. But let's not forget Lotsa Pasta here ...

Lotsa Pasta is a good one, and IMO Joe's OK Bayou has a winner, but I'm sticking with Cafe Lou Lou.

Ok, fine.. they have ARGUABLY the best muffuletta in town. :D

Definately the best muffuletta!

Everything I have had on the menu has been great.

Amy,

Repeat to yourself: Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp & Grits... :D

We were there two weeks ago for lunch and I'm still thinking about them (and I don't usually like Grits) Yum! Clay also had red beans and rice as a special that day and they were really good.

I love the carbonara for a heavy dish and all there pizzas and calzones are tasty. I like the lou lou pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza. There is also a pizza with potatoes that I enjoy. Also the pork tenderloin sandwich is a favorite. So many things so little trips out to them

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

by Doug W » Thu Aug 30, 2007 10:08 am

I forgot about that - it is really good - spicy, nicely hot but you can still taste the chicken too. It goes great with some of the great beer they have on tap!

Cheers,

Doug.

I like the spinach and artichoke lavash roll (but I usually have them add bacon!)

full disclosure: I work there!

Don't forget to avail yourselves of some of my desserts when you go! This week I'm running the lemon-buttermilk and berries-n-champagne sorbets along with our regular desserts (chocolate creme brulee, Kahlua White Russian brownie, classic tiramisu).

Amy, I hope you and your group had a good time!
