Forumites check out baseball and ballpark fare

by Robin Garr » Wed Aug 29, 2007 8:14 am

<img src="http://www.louisvillehotbytes.com/ballpark.jpg" border="1" align="left">A crowd of LouisvilleHotBytes.com Forum participants took over a luxury box at Slugger Field for a Louisville Bats game Tuesday evening. (Thanks to Gayle for securing the box - and sharing it!) The Bats nearly blew an early 9-1 lead but hung on to win 9-8 over the Toledo Mudhens, and the happy foodies worked their way through a sampling of ballpark fare from nachos and dollar hot dogs to fish sandwiches and more.

Oh, and if restaurant owners out there want to know which one is Robin in the pic so you can see him coming next time you'll just have to guess

Okay, let me take a shot at this ... sometimes I'm terrible with names.

From the left, my bride Mary Johnson, then Suzi B and, in the front in black, Gayle D. Then, in the Mud Hens shirt, Tom (?) Richards, with Melissa next to him. Behind them, Christina and Josh Moore, then Mark Bayens (white shirt, standing). Finally, at the right, Brian Curl's father (I'm blocking on his first name, sorry) and Brian himself at the far right end.

Missing from the picture: Christina Bayens and her friend (Jeff?), Linda Bayens and Richard Meadows.

Is that everybody?

Thank GOODNESS my hubby didn't see this

by Melissa Richards-Person » Thu Aug 30, 2007 3:43 pm

Hi Robin - only one mix up (and it's understandable) - my hubby is Tom Person - not Richards - that's happened to him before, so I usually try to introduce him as Tom Person.

I haven't gotten around to changing my name - until we get back from Brazil and I don't have to wait 6 months for my passport!!!

So, that's Tom Person in the Mudhens shirt and Melissa Richards right next to him :-)

Thanks!

Melissa, I should have known better, since my wife's name is Mary Johnson!

By the way, did we drop the ball on what we were talking about in PM? Give me a ringie-dingie ...

Hey Melissa, I have not gotten around to changing my name in 27 years, so no rush!!!! I did change my name for my 1st marraige and it was a NIGHTMARE going back to my maiden name, so I probably won't do it any time soon.

What a lovely evening. THANKS Gayle!! Of course now we all are spoiled for the "cheap seats"!
