Toast the 137th Kentucky Derby in true Kentucky style at Equus & Jack’s Lounge’s Mint Julep Dinner on Monday, April 11, at 6 p.m. Bartender Joy Perrine will fashion a variety of mint julep cocktails, each paired with a dish from Chef Charles Frede. Master distiller Chris Morris of Woodford Reserve and Bourbon historian Michael Veach of The Filson Historical Society will also be on hand to talk about this iconic drink.
Dinner is $50 per person, plus alcohol, tax and gratuity. The mint julep cocktail pairings are an additional $25 per person. Space is limited. For more information call the restaurant, 897-9721.
