Sari Sari in Southern living and at the top of their game !!

by Casey J. » Tue Aug 28, 2007 5:52 pm

Today, we had lunch at Sari Sari. It was fantastic and they had a great crowd of new people and regulars. We are trying to encourage Lourdes to host a one time cooking class on how to prepare some of our favorites. We mentioned it today and others in the restaurant mentioned they would also sign-up. Pete had an article posted from September's Southern Living. The magazine mentioned great dining for a good value in Louisville. We were glad to see they featured Sari Sari. GREAT JOB Pete and Lourdes !!!!

Sari Sari is exceptional. The wife and I had an excellent lunch there directly after Pete opened and have been back numerous times since. I worry about that place, being so tiny, and I worry that not enough people are being turned on to how great the food is!

Nice to know that Sari Sari is getting such good exposure!

Sari Sari

I really like this place as well but have been unable to get my wife to go there because a menu I got a while ago did not indicate they had wine. She will not eat without wine. Can anyone make a happy report they have wine? I want to go back.

We went last night for dinner and it was packed by 5:30. The food was great as always. According to Pete, they do not have a large enough seating capacity to serve wine.

They do have beer, including Filipino San Miguel, as I recall. I wonder whether they allow patrons to discreetly bring in their own wine.
