cuban trailer around?

by John Hagan » Fri Mar 04, 2011 9:19 am

I have not been out that way in a while. Is the Cuban Trailer still around? I have not heard anything about him lately.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I had the pleasure of trying this finally last weekend. The owner was so friendly, and the food both plentiful and delicious. I had the distinct impression he could really use some business, so I'm telling everyone I can about it. Also took his business card in the hope I can use him for catered business lunches, which he said he is glad to do but he has to work out delivery logistics. Also (this may have been reported before), he is looking for a place downtown that he could work out an economical arrangement to locate his trailer.

Thanks,
I found him today at Oxmoor at one of the car dealerships. The menu seemed to have a few more items than the last time I was there.I went with the Cuban and side of the Latin rice. It was good as ever and the portions are still huge. As Carole mentioned also, he could really use some business. He told me I was only his second customer today, and that was at 12:15. While Im probably stating the obvious,Im thinking the location is the main problem here. It is hard to find or access him when he is in those car lots. Its a shame that great guy who selling good food has to struggle like that.
If you havent tried him out yet, give him a shot. He said to feel free to call and find the location and also to pre order if your in a rush..

The location and his hours are both problems. I think his posted hours show him closing at 4:00, which kills almost any chance of picking up the dinner crowd. I've tried numerous times to get carry out between 3:45 and 4:00 and find out he closed early.
