Best Surf & Turf in Lou?

by Matt K » Sat Feb 26, 2011 4:26 pm

Hey guys/gals... quick question. I'm taking my partner out for a nice dinner tomorrow evening and was wondering what the best restaurant would to go to for a nice filet & lobster tail? We've been to Z's a few times and it was pretty good, although the lobster was a bit tough on our last visit. I've got a reservation at Morton's already, but that could change if you all can think of anywhere else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's not local, alas, but I'll bet the new Eddie Merlot's in the Starks Building has some variation on the classic surf'n'turf, and it might be interesting to check it out. I've gotten to the point where I'm under-impressed with Morton's or Ruth's Chris, althought that may be just me.

Jeff Ruby's has one. I've seen it, but never tasted it, due to the $80 price tag. It did look awesome.
