St. Patrick's dinner at Equus and Jack's Lounge

Equus & Jack's Lounge plans a special four-course St. Patrick's Day dinner on Thursday, March 17, featuring traditional Irish dishes with American twists. Dinner will be $40 per person plus alcohol, tax and gratuity. Add $20 to have each course paired with whiskey cocktails created by bartender Joy Perrine. Space is limited. First Course
Mini fish and chips: Cod served with malt vinegar
Joy’s Half & Half” with Harp, Guinness and shot of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey

Salad Course
Green eggs and ham: a whimsical take on corned beef and cabbage
Gingerman with Jameson, brown sugar, lemon and ginger

Main Course
Traditional shepherd’s pie baked in a crockpot with mashers
Louisville “Irish” Cocktail with Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey, Lillet Rouge, Lillet Blanc and orange twist

Dessert
Lemon pound cake with berries and Irish whiskey cream
Bushmills Irish Coffee

Doc Crow’s Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day With an Irish Whiskey Dinner
Three-Course Meal Features Irish Whiskey Cocktails and Concludes With a Premium Tasting

Doc Crow’s will have an Irish Whiskey Dinner on St. Patrick's Day, Thursday, March 17. Starting at 7 p.m., the restaurant will serve a three-course meal paired with Irish whiskey cocktails. The event will conclude with a tasting of premium whiskeys selected by the restaurant's Brett Davis, who holds master sommelier certification.

Diis $50 per person plus tax and gratuity. The restaurant will take reservations for this event, and dinner is limited to 30 people, so reservations are highly recommented. Email info@doccrows.com or call 257-7132, ext. 0, to save your seat.

Irish Whiskey Dinner Menu:

Irish Amuse

Southern Crab Cake with Doc’s remoulade sauce
Old Sod (Powers Irish Whiskey, Cointreau, lemon juice and Peychaud’s Bitters)

Baby back ribs (1/2 rack) with Texas toast, baked beans and cole slaw
Irish Velvet (Jameson’s Irish Whiskey, Guinness Stout, sparkling wine and orange twist)

Freshly baked chocolate chip cookie
Feckin Sweet (Feckin Irish Whiskey, Sean’s Irish Cream and Tuaca)

Premium Irish Whiskey Flight

Bushmills 16 Year Single Malt
Matured for a minimum of 16 years in three types of cask: Bourbon barrels, Oloroso Sherry butts and Port pipes

Connemara “Peated” Single Malt
Produced in copper-pot stills from peat-smoked malt and aged in used Bourbon barrels

Midleton “Very Rare” 2009
Blend of triple-distilled whiskeys hand-selected from used Bourbon and Sherry casks, all aged between 12 and 25 years

Baxter Station will kick off the week on Monday the 14th with Irish themed small plates to accompany our weekly bourbon flight (rye flight this week).

Rye Flight
Rittenhouse Rye – Sazerac Rye 6 year –
Sazerac Rye 18 year – Thomas H. Handy Barrel Proof 21.95

Bourbon Bites
Scotch Eggs – Quail eggs wrapped with sausage, rolled in cracker meal & fried. Served w/ bourbon dijonaisse. 8.95

Smoked Salmon – Bourbon smoked salmon over greens with bourbon-dill crème fraiche. 7.95

Reuben Wontons – Corned beef, sauerkraut & Swiss cheese wontons with 1000 Island dipping sauce. 4.95

Short Rib – Bourbon braised cabbage & bison short rib with horseradish sauce. 8.95

Boxty – Traditional Irish potato pancake stuffed with chicken confit & topped with bourbon-mushroom cream sauce. 7.95

We will be serving traditional Irish dishes all day on Thursday including but not limited to: Guinness beef stew, potato-leek soup, corned beef & cabbage - all with scratch made soda bread.
So come on down to Irish Hill and celebrate with us.

P.S. We will NOT be serving any green beer - but you are sure to find a normal colored beer to please amongst our 22 taps.
