Alice Waters and Bob Hill's barbecue event

by Mari G » Sun Aug 26, 2007 9:39 am

Hi, while getting info about Alice Waters (here in late September), I noticed this blurb about Bob Hill's (you know, our wonderful public radio gardening guru) incredible barbecue music thing-y...

September 8, 2007

Buffalo, Barbecue and Bluegrass Festival featuring Slow Food/ Chefs Afield Dinner
Bob and Jan Hill's Hidden Hills Nursery
Utica, Indiana (across the Ohio River from Louisville)

We're back with our annual Bluegrass Festival and Buffalo Bar-B-Que. Listen to Bluegrass Music all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon. We especially invite all bluegrass "jammers" to join in the fun. Great food. Great music. Great plants. Cost $15.00 (dinner only, festival is free)

A Kentucky Harvest Festival w/Alice Waters

by Deb Hall » Tue Aug 28, 2007 3:06 pm

Did you have a problem finding the info and registration form for the "A Kentucky Harvest Festival" which is the Local Chefs & Farmers tasting event that Alice Waters will be at on Sept. 28th? I'm asking because there was a change to the the website over the weekend and unfortunately the link to the event info/registration is now "broken". We are working on getting it fixed.

In the meantime, if anyone needs the registration form, here's a link to get it:

Note: the contact e-mail for A Kentucky Harvest Festival as changed to slowfoodbluegrass@msn.com. But if anyone has any questions about the event, just PM me and I'll be happy to help.

I feel ignorant, but I knew nothing about this until I saw the original post by Mari. Alice Waters is going to be here? What is the event? Is this event open to the public? We were planning on a get-away that weekend for our anniversary, but may reconsider. I could do some more research on my own, but thought I'd just ask those in the know. Thanks!
