Cocos Lokos tables

by Megan Watts » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:17 pm

We went to Cocos Lokos for dinner on Friday night right after work. Literally we were the only diners in there until about the last 15 min. before we left. The food was very tasty and I really enjoyed the sangria. The only complaint I have is the size of their tables. My husband and I were there on a date night. However, if he were to sit across from me, he seemed so far away, and the music was loud enough that he wouldn't be able to hear me well (he has a mild issue with noise intereference). So he opted to sit next to me. Now, we've never been one of those couples that have ever sat next to each other while dining unless we're with other people. But it was then uncomfortable trying to have conversations while eating because one, or both, would have to turn toward each other. Has this bothered anyone else??
Also..we had a VERY talkative server that extolled the superiority of their food (but also talked well of Mojitos). At one point we both just put down our silverware and stopped eating while he was talking. I think he stayed at our table about 15 min.Very friendly, but it made for a little bit of an odd evening.

I also thought their tables were an odd size. And we are one of those couples who tend to sit on adjoining sides of a four top. But I can completely understand that sitting across from each other would put you too far away for quiet conversation.
