Three locals in running for James Beard Awards

As one of the judges, I've been sitting on this, but the word's out now and I can share it: Three area chefs made the cut as finalists for Best Chef Southeast in this year's James Beard Awards.

Making the cut are ...

Anthony Lamas, Seviche

Edward Lee, 610 Magnolia

Ouita Michel, Holly Hill Inn, Midway, Ky.

Good on all three of 'em. They'll certainly get my vote. ;)

These are 3 truly gifted chefs and it makes us proud to have them in our area. Their passion for quality and excellence show in their cusine and giving back to the community. Good luck to all three.
