CPC 4 Year Anniversary Party

by Shawn Vest » Tue Feb 15, 2011 11:42 pm

Greetings everyone

The Charlestown Pizza Company is having our Four Year Anniversary Party on the second Tuesday of March.
Tuesday, March 8th happens to be Mardi Gras this year as well :D

We of course would like to show our appreciation to our loyal fans and friends during this celebration in a multitude of interesting ways and we hope that you'll join us.

1st - We'll be offering some specialty pizzas that aren't normally available and have yet to be confirmed for this year (last year we had a BBQ Pulled Pork Pie and a Sweet & Sour Chicken pizza). Certainly, blue cheese and dried fruit will make an appearance. Maybe even a pizza for the Cajun in all of us.

2nd - Beers aplenty, we've secured a keg of C2 from NABC and there will be several other special draft surprises. Also, I'll be dipping into the cellar for some fun items to share amongst those in attendance.

3rd - We're going to go overboard on the decadence of desserts. The bread puddings, infused brownies, and cheesecakes will be in full supply and there will be cake in abundance.

4th - Cheese, please. Yes, we're going to share several of our favorite cheeses with you in the cheese plate format.

5th - PRIZES
Random door prize drawings. Beer baskets, gift baskets, glassware, who knows what we'll get our hands on
King Cake esque prize give away - It may not be a baby in a cake, but there may be an interesting item or two hiding somewhere on/in your dish :D - Persons finding these items will win a special prize.

-
Ok, then - Tuesday March 8th - 6pm
Bring your beads and your masks and lets get our Anniversary party started in Mardi Gras fashion.

Thank you
Shawn

Great, cant wait. Last years was awesome. So youre saying there might be a blue cheese and dried fruit pizza?
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Dang, Shrove Tuesday. I'll be busy. :(

Best wishes, though, and may you enjoy not four but 40 more years of success.

We've been playing around with blue cheese, chicken, spinach, cranberries/raisins, & a honey based sauce. :D

In less than one week we'll be 4.

The new kegerator should be arriving tomorrow, most of the specialty beers have arrived, and we'r just about ready.

Hope to see everyone on Fat Tuesday at the CPC 4 Year Anniversary Party.

Thanks
Shawn

Had a great time at CPC yesterday. Way to go Shawn, your place was packed! When we got there it was standing room only(thanks for finding us a spot  ). I know Ill probably take some heat from Steve P for this, but I really enjoyed the special Chicken Blue pizza. It was a small 8" crust with a light honey based sauce that was laced with blue cheese, topped with pulled chicken breast, spinach and dried fruits. Also good was a traditional 14" sausage, mushroom and olive. Both paired well with my saison that I cant remember the name of.
Congratulation Shawn...you've got a great thing going. Keep it up.

You'll take heat from me for it, that's not a pizza, it's an open face sandwich.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

Im not going to soapbox this issue but... Im almost always a traditionalist when it comes to pizza. When somebody has demonstrated that they know what they are doing in their art or craft,Im cool with them taking it in a new direction. Shawn consistently puts out a quality product and I see nothing wrong with him wanting try something exciting and new on a special "party night". It really wasn't a world away from normal anyway, sub spinach for basil leaves, the honey/blue sauce for a white, dried fruit for dried tomatoes and chicken breast in place of more traditional meat topping.

Thanks for the kind words John. The sauce on that Blue Chicken pie was Robert Rothschild Raspberry Honey Mustard Pretzel Dip mixed with Bee Creek Honey Wheat Ale, both of which we usually have on hand, so just ask and we can probably make it again.

And the only people that can give heat to you about my pies are those that have had them

We had a great time at the party and gave away a lot of goodies to our supporters.
We also gave customers the opportunity to suggest a new pizza for the menu,so we'll let you know the details after we've tried a few of their suggestions.

Thanks everyone
We'll do it again next year on the second Tuesday in March.

Shawn

Glad to hear that the Blue Chicken Pizza could be "gettable" on a normal day. It was really tasty (and healthy!).
