Question about the Counter Tasting at 732 Social

Could someone inform me about the counter tasting on the menu at 732 Social? Is this something of an informal, multi-course tasting menu? Would this be a good way to do a first visit to 732 Social? Is this something you would have to set up in advance?

The way Jayson explained it to me was like this.

Sit at the bar and tell the bartender you want to do the tasting menu. The kitchen then prepares you a dish, anything they want, and the bartender a drink to match. Eat, drink, and repeat until satisfied.
