Bar Near Westport Village

by Eliza W » Thu Feb 10, 2011 4:36 pm

Is there a nice bar for grown-ups (early 40s) near Hiko-a-mon? We'd like to sit down, bar or tables are fine. I generally drink only wine, and I'm looking for something more interesting than house chardonnay. Any thoughts?

Napa River grill just down the parking lot.
Nice lounge area, and bar.

Ditto for Napa.

Westport Wine & Whiskey also sells by the glass. I've only done the outside tables ( nice in the summer) but I believe they have a nice bar/sitting area for their classes, where you could have your drinks. They are next door to Hiko-Man.

Majids, 60 West, and Jack's are pretty close.

All true, and Corbett's not really all that far out the other way.

Thanks! I just took my older relative to Majid's, and, good as it was, I don't want to go right back. Corbett's is our go-to date night place, so we're going to stay away. Looks like Napa River. It's the closest, and I think they have a good selection of wines by the glass. Selena's will be next time (they're near one of our babysitters as well).

L and N is pretty hittable from Indian Hills. I've never had a bad meal there and the wine bar is the best in the city.

What about 211 Clover? They get passed over because they like to fly under the radar. Not really a bar seating arrangement, but they do an exceptional job. Andrew is serious business about his wines, as well...
