New Cuban Place in Iroquois Manor

Drove by today, its on the side that faces 3rd street, I'll stop by and try it soon. It was a Cuban bakery but now they have Cubano sandwiches and other things along with the cuban bread and pastries

La Esquina Caliente (which I think means the hot corner)

They have been serving food there for quite a while now. Very working mans type of beans and porkchops kind of place, not bad, not that great. Maybe they are expanding, but I've eaten there at least three times in the last 6 months. They even had a meal plan where you paid for a weeks worth of food (lunch) at a reduced price.

tthey call that "cantina". I used to have a place in my 'hood in Miami that did that. I guess it is kind of a thing that came from a Cuban working stiff bachelor that wanted "home-cookin''" style food .
