Slow Food Bluegrass (http://www.slowfoodbluegrass.com) is sponsoring an Iron-Skillet Chef Competition on Friday at the Fair, along with cooking demos (and product tasting ) from several local producers and chefs.

Cooking Demonstrations by Ray Lampe, a.k.a. Dr. Barbecue, Nancy Newsom Mahaffey of Col. Update: Jim Gerhardt of Limestone will be chef de cuisine for the Col. Newsom's Aged Country Ham Demo.
Admission is free with Fair admission- and remember: Garden Gate is in the AIRCONDITIONED part of KICC. A really good excuse to play hookey and taste some great Kentucky foods!
