Grown Up night out

by Pete O » Fri Feb 04, 2011 12:00 pm

For Christmas, my mother gave us a night out. She gave us night at a hotel and is buying our dinner, plus spending the night with the 4 curtain climbers.

My wife suggested as part of the evening, we find a nice "jazz bar" ... some place where we can enjoy a cocktail and listen to some live music. So, can you all throw at some suggestions on where we should go? Location in the metro is not much of a concern.

Thanks,
-Pete

My aunt did the same for my wife and I as an anniversary present. We stayed @ 21C and ate at Proof. Both the Hotel and dinner was incredible and I highly recommend. As far as the Jazz goes I am sure a quick google could find you having after dinner drinks to music at the Seelbach, Mozz or maybe even 4th street Live, if that's your cup of tea. Have fun though, grown-up night outs are important.

We have two kids and really value our grownup time. I'm with Steve R.: Proof + 21C is an incredible experience ( and very grownup). I'd go Mozz after Proof for music and dessert or cheese.

Enjoy!

I just came from Theater Square and highly recommend it. Dallas does a great job with the food and I enjoyed the live music. I didn't go into the bar but it seemed like everyone was having a fine time.
