East Coast, West Coast, No Coast Beer Fest

by Ashley Isaacs » Wed Feb 02, 2011 7:19 pm

Several of you have been asking about the East Coast, West Coast, No Coast Specialty Beer Festival at Flanagan's Ale House and I finally have some preliminary info for you! The date is Sunday, Febuary 20th, beginning at 1:00 pm and going as long and you guys can take it! As for the format, beers will be sold individually, and due to the high gravity nature of most of the brews, they will be served in aprox 8 oz portions. There will not be a cover to get in, but we will have a donation box set up at the front door for Henry's Ark, the same non-profit we donated to last year. These are some of the libations that we have secured:

In Cask:
Rogue I2PA
Clipper City Yule Tide Aged with Wood Chips
Clipper City Black Cannon Triple Hopped Black IPA

On Draft:
Avery 17th Anniversary
Boulder Oboviod Barrel Aged Emperial Stout (and no, that is not a type-o!)
Ommegang Adoration
Three Floyds Brew Doo
Dogfish Head and Three Floyds Popskull
Goose Island Dominique
Upland Bourbon Barrel Aged Ard Ri
Quadruple Aged Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale
Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout
Stone Lucky Bastard
Dogfish Head World Wide Stout
Schlafly Smoked Porter
Schlafly Bock
Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence

BBC has signed on for some exciting brews!

Brandy’s Knickers Double Barrel Shotgun Ale

2008 Old Ale aged one year in a Brady Barrel, and another year in a Bourbon Barrel.

Wooden Hell

2010 Hell for Certain aged in a Bourbon Barrel.

Barbarians in the woods.

2010 Barbarian Honey Ale aged in a Bourbon Barrel.

Wooden Pat

2009 Bearded Pat’s Barleywine aged in Bourbon Barrel to perfection

None of these beers have ever been tasted before, so I look forward to being the first!

Since I have to help my folks move I couldn't hang around for the extra thing in the back at flanagan's, but I got to try most of the ones I wanted to, and they were all pretty tasty in their own way. Boulder stout, ommegang adoration, ard ri, lucky bastard, and my favorite, the quad aged bourbon barrel ale.
