Walking Distance from 4th Street Live - Sunday Brunch Option

by Scott Hack » Wed Aug 22, 2007 3:07 pm

I've got a friend who just moved downtown. I think it is Louisville Towers or something... 5th street and Ali I think. Anyway, I might as well be an out of towner when it comes to downtown. Being from the EEE (Extreme East End) I have to google maps all my trips downtown turn for turn so I don't get lost.

I'd like to walk from her apartment and grab some breakfast. Then do something fun downtown. I've been to Toast before, but I don't know how far of a walk that is. Any suggestions on a place to grab some eggs and bacon and any activities open on Sunday downtown?

The casual restaurant on the first floor of the Seelbach has a great breakfast buffet. It is 10-12 bucks or so, but it is really well made stuff. Not your usual gross buffet. It is one block from your friend's apartment.

Is that Otto's? Ok, for some reason I thought Otto's was in the space where the Starbucks is now. I really like the breakfast there. It's a small buffet with really well made stuff on it. Usually: eggs, waffles, biscuits, sausage, bacon, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal. Everything is kept very fresh and hot.

Cunninghams has a nice Brunch Buffett from 10:00 am until ? Up on 4th Street, just this side of the Brown, on the other side of the street.
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

Yup, it's Otto's. Ask for Linda to take care of you. She's been a server there for a least ten years.
