Not a local, but I enjoyed a really nice dinner at Buca di Peppo yesterday with 20 of my relatives to celebrate my grandparent's 66th anniversary. Everyone had a ball and the food is not bad, it used to be better, but it's comparable to the old Ray Parrella's
The whole place and family style menu is geared toward accommodating large groups and children are more than welcome.
You could also take a trip out to Joe Huber's in Starlight for some family style Fried Chicken, Chicken-n-Dumplins, and Fried Bisciuts with Apple Butter!

Now that I think about it, that's where I had my 40th birthday party.
