I didn't get a chance to listen to Mandy's show this morning, but apparently a Lexington baker who has opened a location in Middletown has run into Louisville Metro's infamous regulatory boondoggle.

http://www.caramandas.com/Obviously I have no clue what the details are to this story since I didn't hear the interview, but I've seen plenty of postings here at HB regarding the rabid pit bull mentality of restaurant inspectors. I get the impression this guy went through a nightmare trying to get that location opened.
This all raises the question of whether the health department is going too far beyond what is necessary to promote food safety?
I do like cupcakes. I'm inclined to generate some business for him if he has a good product.
