From the look of the menu at Varanese, I'd say Azalea's just moved over to Frankfort Avenue . . .

While I would be sorry to see any independent restaurant close, and I'm glad that reports say they are still open, I would not be surprised. Hubby and I visited last December with another couple, tried the new menu and were very disappointed. We haven't been back, and I hear the same from friends who also used to go regularly. It used to be hubby's favorite restaurant and we'd go at least twice a month. If others have similarly changed their behavior, that can't be good.

Meantime with Varanese - we had dinner there last night, and we'll be going back frequently - not just because of the "Azalea-ness" of the menu. But, I'll post that experience in another thread....
