Welcome to the Louisville Restaurants Forum, a civil place for the intelligent discussion of the local restaurant scene and just about any other topic related to food and drink in and around Louisville.
New to the forum and just wanted to pass on that Captain Pepper Jack's Aero Bistro has closed its doors. I play in a local poker league that played at this location on Thursday and Friday nights and was informed that the landlord jumped the lease $500 per month and they threw in the towel.
Had occassion to try several of the dishes and was impressed by some and not by others. This restaurant was located across from Bowman Field next door to the Queen of Sheba.
Sad to say it, but I saw this coming months ago. The prices were too high and the food was too inconsistent for it to last. Still, they did some good things and I was hoping they'd turn it around.
I went once and found the food ok. My problem was that the menu descriptions didn't fit what they were actually serving. We ordered 4 dishes and none were as described.

Off topic, and I wish I had a chance to try captain peppers, but we would love to have your poker game at Dish on Market. We have plenty of space and great prices on food and drinks. We have a group that plays on Friday nights currently and have the capacity for other groups.
