I just took over as the chef at Zanzabar after working at the Oakroom and helping to open Mozz.
And it sounds great, I will be speaking with the owners tomorrow, but from the kitchen standpoint we are definitely in.

Nice to sort of meet you. I eat lunch there quite a bit and the food has always been really good.
I look forward to beating you at the Throwdown

I have also heard from Tyson Long and he said he and Tony Lorie from Julep's Catering are in as they want to defend thier People's Choice title from Shrimp and Grits.
There is also some interest in a team representing the ACF/KY Chapter as well.
So by my count that makes it 12 chefs/resturants committed! :D

I'd love to represent Majid's at this event...

One night, 300 people, let's do this for those that deserve it!

Steve, Will, Deb, and the CQ family- you guys rock.

Oh? I may have to bring my molecular gastronomy game then. Expect a "ship biscuit chip" of layers of mussels, clams, and bacon rolled in a torchon, set with activa transglutaminase, immersion circulated, cold smoked, frozen and then sliced into the "chip" on the meat slicer.

I have spoken with the boss guys and we'd definitely love to throw our bowler hats into the mix. So please add Zanzabar as a definite.

Chef Mikki Rice of Bluegrass Brewing Company 4th Street Theater Square would like to participate! Count us in if all the spaces have not been filled. :D

Here's everyone I have heard from so far:

Theatre Square Marketplace
Equus/Jack’s
NA Exchange
Selena's
Captain’s Quarters
Shady Lane Cafe
Browning's
Lilly's
At Your Service Catering
BBC 4th St.
Zanzibar
Julep's Catering
ACF/KY Chapter
Majid's
and lastly I have heard from Chef Greg Williams of ChickiePoo's in Madison, IN who wants to drive down and participate for the cause as well.
That's 15 different chowders!
Just 1 more spot to fill to have a full dance card!

April Adams told me she thought Village Anchor would be interested ... I had hoped she would chime in her by now, but maybe you could reach out to her, Dan?

They would be a welcome addition and I don't think anyone would have heartburn if we tentatively showed The Village Anchor holding the last spot...provided they confirm in the next day or two. How about we hold it until Tuesday morning and in the meantime maybe someone there will drop us a note to confirm. If they don't confirm we'll just open it back up to fill the last spot.

Harold,

We had something of a "soft" commit from the Village Anchor, which if confirmed will fill out the fight card. We're giving them until Tuesday morning to firm that commitment up. If they don't, I'm not aware of anyone besides you on the "wait list" (Dan ???)

Edit: I have a call in to April at The Village Anchor, hopefully she will return my call and we can put this to bed before Tuesday...check back for breaking news.

I will step down and be part of the ACF team so everyone has a spot. Remove at Your Service Catering from the list. So the final two places are Gary's on Spring and Village Anchor. I will start a back-up list just in case someone has to cancel.

Sounds great!

I'm kinda thinking there's gonna be a great deal of cream going on.

Hmm...

Maybe I do an 'anti-cream,' something kinda refreshing, yet fullfilling the 'cream' requirement. Everything will be warm- maybe go cold (room temp?.) Lots of lipids, maybe think acids.

Etc, etc. I'm not sure what I'll do just yet, but we have time!
