Splash of Bourbon Dinner Jan. 30 at Bourbon's Bistro

Bourbon's Bistro will celebrate Kentucky’s native spirit with a three-course dinner Sunday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. The event will showcase cuisine from Louisville writer David Dominé’s cookbook Splash of Bourbon: Kentucky’s Spirit, and will include Bourbon tastings and commentary by the author. Each couple at the dinner will receive a copy of the book, which contains more than 70 recipes along with tips and trivia about the history of Bourbon. Books will be donated by The Urban Bourbon Trail. Dinner is $40 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Bourbonnaised Filet Mignon served on a warm hoecake with white asparagus and lima beans
Maker's Mark

Ginger Bourbon Lace with Chantilly cream and fresh berries
Wild Turkey American Honey

Hey. Nothing to do with the Dinner on the 30th...But I was in Bourbon's with a friend a couple of weeks ago and left my credit card laying on the bar. The bartender (Jeff I think, maybe I'm wrong...I was kinda hammered at the time) left his station and literally ran a block and a half to flag us down and return the card. HELLUVA gesture...and one I will certainly remember come "tipping time" on my next visit.
