with information highway everything is out there for people to see and read. sometimes a little too much info.
you be the judge on this one...

Anonymous and negative. I wouldn't let this post stand on HotBytes (although of course we don't register anonymous members.) Should we give it legs here just because someone posted it on Craigslist? What do you think, folks? Annemarie, if it leads to litigation, will you accept service? ;)

This post should be deleted. You do not allow anonymous posts and this is the very definition of a drive by shooting. If Mr or Mrs. whistle blower would sign their name then I say all bets off. But this could do real damage to that business. If it is true, then they will be sited by the health department. Could be a very bad employee with a grudge.

I'm inclined to agree, but will hold off until others chime in. However, I have placed the specific link "in escrow" while we work it out. The link just goes to the top of Craigslist now.

I am in total agreement with Will.

One of the ways we maintain our integrity on this site is by signing our names to our opinions. We cannot begin to put that aside. I also concur on striking it. Annemarie is right that negative opinions do appear here, but they are owned.

Well, since I neutered the link, I'll just leave the conversation up. :)

As the recipient of restaurant bashing all through anonymous sources, I do think it right to eleminate it. Of course, it's through craigs list, not through this forum. She or he can make the restaurants biz very difficult through such channels as anonymous unverifyiable complaints via the health dept, or just several prank calls via handicap phone calls. This person has many channels to make her/his frustrations or vindications known.

With all due respect, everyone interested in what the fuss is all about is still going to click the obvious choice, right? I stand with the choir - the link is distasteful. We don't know anything about the origin of this or who started it (although the writing looks oddly familiar).

EDIT: Wait a second - the post is gone now! Is that Hotbytes magic or the poster deleted?

I trust NOTHING , as in NOTHING on Craig's list. What was once a useful site ha morphed into a total, untrustworthy waste of time.

Takes 3 clicks instead of 2. A worthless post but kind of like a car wreck. I had to take a peak.

Shoot, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and now it has gone into cyber space.
