Valentine dinners at Corbett's and Equus & Jack's Lounge

Corbett's: An American Place and Equus & Jack's Lounge will offer special five-course Valentine's Day menus on Monday, Feb. 14, starting at 5 p.m. Corbett's will also open for Valentine Eve on Sunday evening, Feb. 13, also opening at 5 p.m.

The dinner at Corbett's: An American Place is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Wine pairings are available for an additional $45 per person, and a cheese course is available for an additional $10 per person. Reservations are required. For more information or to reserve your table, call 327-5058.

At Equus & Jack's Lounge, the special five-course Valentine's Day menu is available on Monday, Feb. 14, for $50 per person plus tax and gratuity. Mixologist Joy Perrine will offer exceptional Valentine's Day drink specials, such as Perrine's award-winning Bourbon Ball and four different Bourbon sparklers. All drinks are $12 each. Asiatique restaurant announces a special February Bubbles Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 13, and Valentine's Day Dinner on Monday, Feb. 14.

February Bubbles Brunch: This five-course celebration begins with sautéed cumin-dusted oysters with cucumber aioli, Champagne vinaigrette and spicy radish greens paired with Mumm Prestige Brut. The second course is a carrot soup with spicy mustard roasted pork, gingerbread croutons and crispy fried leeks paired with Mionetto Il Prosecco. The third course is baked almond-crusted mahi with braised fennel, rutabaga puree and pickled daikon, paired with Trapiche Extra Brut. The fourth course of garam masala-braised beef short rib with sautéed Thai chili broccoli rabe, shiitake mushroom risotto and white asparagus cream sauce will be paired with Zipang Sparkling Sake. The fifth course of chocolate and hot chili fondue with diced Asian pear, candied ginger, strawberries, and raspberry marshmallow will be paired with Ste Michelle Blanc de Noir. Seating is at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The noon seating is $30 per person and does not include the bubbles pairings (alcohol service is not available until 1 p.m. on Sundays). The other seatings are $40 per person and include the bubbles pairings.

Valentine’s Day Dinner - This four-course prix fixe dinner begins with a salad of local hydroponic baby lettuces and sweet chili-basil or hoisin-truffle vinaigrette, followed by a choice of First Flavors (including sashimi of ahi tuna; Indocine-inspired Angus beef satay and Asian pesto wok fried spicy lamb; shrimp-pork "cha gio" and sweet chili-basil dipping sauce; Indiana goat cheese-crabmeat spring rolls; Asiatique slow-cooked barbecue pork ribs, or wok-sautéed five-spiced shrimp). The Entrée Selections include wok-seared Pacific salmon; grilled lemongrass-scented Angus filet; wok-sauteed tiger shrimp and scallop; wok-seared triple-crusted ahi tuna, tataki style; grilled five-spiced marinated pork loin chop; chargrilled black-bean lamb rack; grilled teriyaki quail; or hoisin-glazed grilled mahi mahi. The Dessert Selections include a trio of creme brulée; a ginger scented cheesecake; or Belgian bitter-chocolate torte. Dinner is $45 per person before 6:30 p.m., $60 per person afterward. A special flight of bubbles is available for an additional $15 and includes Rustico Prosecco, Korbel Brut Rosé, and Steele "Black Bubbles" Sparkling Shiraz.

Winston’s restaurant at Sullivan University is celebrating Valentine’s Day all weekend with a three-course prix fixe dinner menu Friday, Feb. 11 through Sunday, Feb. 13. Lilly's - A Kentucky Bistro will be closed on Monday February 14th. We will be doing our Valentine's Day Brunch and Dinner on Feb. 12th. Brunch will be $20 and will run from 11:00-3:00, regular lunch menu will also be available. Dinner will have two seatings one at 5:30-6:00 and the other at 8:30. The cost for dinner will be $75 and will include live Jazz piano by Jerry Tolson of the University School of Music. Please call 502.451.0447 to make your reservations. The menus are included below.

For all of those chocoholics out there, The Comfy Cow is hosting what they are calling CHOCOpalooza.

Beginning Friday of Valentine's weekend the handcrafted ice cream shop at Westport Village will offer seven different chocolate ice creams for your sampling pleasure.

In addition to their Signature Chocolate ice cream, they are scooping Shirley's Red Velvet Cake with White Chocolate Icing, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate "Brownie Points", Chocolate Strawberry, and even a Fudgesicle Sorbet for those chocolate fans who are lactose or dairy intolerant.

These newest creations from the ice cream chefs at "The Cow" will remain available until sold out. Hurry on over Valentine's weekend and bring your sweetheart along for a sampling of this "over the top" chocolate ice cream smorgasbord.

As for Valentine's Day, our chefs have whipped up something sensational at each store! On Saturday, Feb. 12th and on Monday Feb 14th from 5:00-9:00 pm Brendan's and Patrick's will be offering chefs' specials and beer pairings a la carte, and at Flanagan's we will be offering a la carte or as a beer dinner! Here are the menus for each:

At Flanagan's we celebrate "Love Stinks" every year. Don't have a Valentine? You don't need one, you'll be among friends! Reservations must be in by Feb. 10.
