Baxter Station expanded hours & Bourbon Mondays PR

by Mark Albert » Thu Jan 13, 2011 5:28 pm

Hi All,
The following is posted with Robin's permission.

We are pleased to announce that Baxter Station will be expanding our hours of operation to include Monday lunch and dinner. It has been a number of years since we were open on Monday's and we are all pretty excited.
This upcoming Monday will be kick off day for our new "Bourbon Flight of the Week". Each week we will be featuring a bourbon flight from different distilleries around The Commonwealth.
Monday nights we will offer a discounted price on the flight as well as a selection of small plates utilizing the bourbon of the week.
We hope to have a representative from the featured distillery on hand each Monday night to mingle and answer questions.
For our kick-off date, January 17th, Brown-Forman master distiller Chris Morris has graciously agreed to participate.
We look forward to seeing you,
Mark

While I understand the reasoning behind being closed on Monday, I can't saw such a policy satisfies my selfish wants. So yeah for Baxter Station!
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.

Honestly,.... for some reason, the Pappy Van Winkle just taste better at Baxter Station compared to other establishments, I have no idea why ? :?
Very happy about Mondays !

Wonderful news. Baxter Station is one of our favorite stops. We are both in the restaurant business, having owned and operated Science Hill since 1977, and recognize good food and pleasant service. Our business is closed on Monday's and when the Station decided to close on Monday several years ago, we have been lost in the desert. For my money you cannot find a restaurant with this type of ambiance anywhere else. It has a special neighborhood feel to it. Granted there are others places that are just as good, but this independent Louisville neighborhood stop is in it's own special category. We will be there Monday to renew our patronage. Congratulations.

Although I love bourbon, I'm just stoked that my favorite goto place is going to be serving up grub on Mondays again! Those bison short ribs were amazing last week. Perfect on a frosty night.

hi all,
next monday the 31st, baxter will present a bourbon flight from kentucky bourbon distillers represented by hunter chavanne. the featured flight will be willet pot still reserve, 17 year old vintage bourbon, old bardstown estate bottled and pure kentucky. the bites menu should be done in the next day or so and the items will be on our web page and mark may also post them here. bourbon related door prizes will also be available as is our regular menu.
thanks, andrew
