DiFabio's Casapela is having a five-course wine dinner on Monday, Jan. 17, for $55. Guests will gather at 6:30 p.m. for sparkling Prosecco, and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The menu for the evening is as follows:
Antipasto: Endive with creamy gorgonzola topped with spicy and sweet walnuts
Wine: Terlano Classico
Primo{ Parsnip and rosemary risotto
Wine: Orvieto
Secondo: Red wine braised veal shank topped with a gremolata (lemon zest, garlic and parsley) accompanied with garlic-mashed potatoes
Wine: Prima Voce
Contorno: Caramelized brussel sprouts with a balsamic vinegar reduction and pancetta
Wine: Paolo Scavino Rosso
Dolce: Caramel and pear galette with cinnamon ice cream
Wine: Moscato D’ Asti
