Great Burger?

by Robin F. » Fri Aug 17, 2007 9:26 am

I'm looking for a new place with a great burger. You know the kind, cooked the way you like it (let's not go there again), jucy, nice bun, maybe some cheese. I love the burger at Jack's Lounge but I'm looking for some other ideas. I'm not picky about the setting, casual, dive, upscale, it's the burger that matters. Thanks!

Robin,
We serve a nice beef burger cooked to order as well as an awesome bison burger with meat raised only a mile from the restaurant. Come out and see us.

thanks

The Granville Inn on third makes a pretty good burger for a fair price. Add cheese fries for some high caloric goodness.

And with the advent of the no-smoking law, it's possible to breathe inside the Granville Inn!

Jack Fry's burger is a great one, by the way, and the Bristol Burger will generally satisfy. I love the idea of perching it on an English muffin.

They cook it to order, have the best fries and it doesn't cost as much as you think. $8.75

Uptown Cafe has an awesome burger! Great add ons such as bacon, smoked gouda, bleu cheese, swiss, cheddar. An insider tip: order a side of the housemade "pickapeppa" mayo (not on the menu) and slather it on the burger and use the rest to dip your fries in. Wonderfully decadent!

This thread has a solid list. I'd throw in the burgers at Bambi Bar and Kern's.

Granville and Uptown probably rank as my two favorite burgers in town.

Robin F: the burger here at Mojito is pretty good, Angus beef mixed with ground Spanish chorizo on a challab burger bun, topped w/ Swiss cheese and crispy fries and crispy serrano ham. Fernando.

Just wanted to add the bacon burger at L&N - amazing, temp to order, comes with REAL frites - hand cut, double-blanched in lard, the way the good lord intended! :)
