California introduced me to the Chile Rellano Burrito.

by MikeG » Mon Jan 03, 2011 8:49 pm

Sweet Jesus, I'm in love. I need to see if I can get some places around here to start making these.

Rice, cheese, chile rellano, sour cream, salsa all wrapped in a tortilla. mmmmmmmm.....

Yeah Anne this was that item put into a burrito. I made my own at Puerta Vallarta last night by ordering the items off the menu and building it on my plate.

I love chile rellenos and I love burritos. I can see that combination being pretty tasty :D

The Carnacita la Rosita in the mall at Preston and Gillmore makes a very nice Chile Rellano taco. I would imagine that they would do it up in burrito as well.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I could swear I saw clile rellano on the monster menu board at La Rosita on Westpoirt. I don't know if they were on a taco or burrito, but it might be worth checking out.

We were headed there last night, but they were closing up by the time we got there, so we ended up at La Margarita in La Grange. Muy bueno!

A chile rellano burrito? OMG... that's like Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt at the same party. Awesome!

Love that analogy! Bet they'd sell like crazy if that was the menu description! Though it sounds pretty yummy on it's own.
