Cool, that's convenient. How about any locals serving up some good seafood chowder ? I've rocked with Selena's a couple of times and it's most excellent. Looking for something new to try.

The Fish House at Winter and Oak does a good one. So did the defunct Carolina Seafood, but that won't help now. Seems to me Stan's and the Fishery both have it, but I'm not sure.

Where are Steve and Barbara, our resident Mainers you need them.
You guys really need to get the pronunciation correct. My time in New England taught me that it's "Chow-dah".
It sounds weird to me if I hear it any other way.
Kind of like when I'm watching U of L on TV and the announcers keep saying "Looeyville" instead of "Looavulh".

Though we don't it have all that often, I would put my New England Chowder up against anyone in Louisville... but then I'm just that modest. Bill. Shady Lane Cafe

We was out in the ha-ba haulin' the lobstah traps befoah the nor'eastah came in thayah chummy.

no...no watching TV....no no...

In Maine...I can defiantly highly... highly recommend Gilbert's Chowder House on Commercial Street. The best chow-dah in Louisville I am so sorry to say I cannot name. We have not been out looking for it, but me thinks we should start. (A word to the wise Manhattan and clam chowder do not belong together. 8) )

I've been getting the stuff at Whole Foods and it's pretty good. However, I've heard Seafood Connection is the place to go for a good chowder.

It's been a while back but El Mundo had an awesome lobster bisque once upon a time.

Just to clarify, though, bisque is not chowdah. Neither is "bisk."
