Interesting way to pour a draft beer, anybody using this system in these parts ?

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Certainly an interesting concept and probably much neater with less waste than a conventional tap. It looks like the glasses they are using in the second video are disposable, I have to believe they are much more expensive. I also wonder what it does to the taste of the beer because you don't get the aeration you normally do. Certainly looks like an interesting idea for someplace like the arena.

There's a round flat magnet in the bottom of the cup that lifts up for the pour. Companies can buy advertising on the magnets. Nice if they just see it in the bottom of their cups, great if they become something that people collect and take home to stick on the refrigerator.

For the type of events this would be cost-effective for and the types of beer that would be likely to be served, I doubt aeration is a big conern. It would be along the lines of pouring down the side of the glass and enough people do that anyway for them not to notice a difference.

If it bothers you, keep your first cup and pour the rest into the first. Then you only have a poor aeration problem once.

Edited to add - Maybe a good way to pour a Coke, no ice. Although the lack of aeration on that might be a problem too - not for the taste, for the burpiness quality.
